Why Won’t My Usb Hp Deskjet 3650 Connect To My Computer?

I have the HP deskjet 3650. I’ve tried plugging it into the USB port, and its not recognizing it.
Right when its plugged in a bubble pops up and says that there is a power surge or something from the port.
ive tried re downloading the software because i don’t have the cd anymore, and its not recognizing it. I really neeed this printer to work, what can I do?
when i’ve tried printing a document, it says printer status…. and it never prints.

Restart your computer. Your software may not be compatible with your computer unfortunately. So try getting the software off of the HP website. Without the right software you are stuck. Try contacting HP, that’s another option.

If its telling you that your USB is having a power surge then ide look into two things,
Your M|Board is on its way out
Your USB cable may have a nick in the wire and try replacing it..
