Why Won’t My Deskjet Print The Yellow Ink, While The Other Colors Print?
Filed in Deskjet Help Forums on พ.ย..01, 2009
My deskjet 932C no longer prints the yellow ink. It just prints the red and blue. Ive changed to a new cartridge and the same thing happens.

If by “new cartridge”, you mean brand-spanking, out of the box, OEM 78 cartridge, the problem could be with your printer. Logic dictates, if two different cartridges are performing the same way in the printer, it’s the printer.
Remove the color cartridge and look in the printer at the point where it fits. Clean the contact points with a cotton swab moistenend with isopropyl alcohol. Also clean the corresponding contact points on the back of the color cartridge. This may solve your problem
NOTE: If neither of your cartridges is a brand new 78 from HP (not refilled by you or anyone else) it is quite possible it’s the cartridges. Not all refillers are good ones.

Call a service rep from the ink manufacturer

With the new cartridge in, do a thorough clean using the printer’s software choices.

Odds are the yellow ink jet is clogged. This happens frequently if you are using a generic (cheap) brand of ink. The yellow is especially susceptible to clogging. Only thing you can do is run the head cleaning program a few times and eventually switch to a better ink.

Maybe it doesn’t have any yellow ink in it. Or you have the cartridge in the wrong way. Or your printers broken. Call some coustomer service number or something.
