Why Does My Printer Keep Printing This?
Filed in Deskjet Help Forums on ม.ค..19, 2010
So I have recently installed a new printer for my computer. An HP Photosmart C3180 Series All-in-One. I bought new ink for it as well, and when I first changed it, it printed this out: http://i27.tinypic.com/6ivhw4.jpg I didn’t think much of it then, because I thought it was just testing out the new ink. But since then, whenever I turn on my printer, it always prints this out first. I don’t know how to get it to stop. What can I do to make it stop printing this?
If it helps, I’m using Windows XP.

call HP
that is part of the test to see if the heads are aligned.

That is a printer alignment test sheet.. This will fix that
Please follow exactly and IN ORDER.
1. Turn off the printer and wait 10 seconds. Turn it on again
2. Let the printer print the test page.
3. After the test page is printed, disconnect the USB cable connecting the printer to your computer. DO NOT turn off the printer while disconnecting the USB cable.
4. Place the test page on the scanner glass and press the SCAN button on the printer. The ON light will flash as the page is being scanned.
5. Remove the test page when the ON light is steady.
6. Finally, turn off the printer and wait another 10 seconds. Then turn it on again. No more printing test pages! Yay!
(You may now reconnect the printer to your computer via the USB cable.)

Some newer computers can boot from USB.Your BIOS may be sending a signal to the printer causing it to act strange.
Solution 3 deals with that:http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/Tec…
