What Is Wrong With My Printer/scanner?

My HP Photosmart All-in-One Printer/Scanner/Copier won’t scan or print. It says on the little screen on it that the “USB is not connected” but i checked it, and it was totally connected. I even tried different ports but it’s not working. What do I do??

You need to install the drivers for the USB printer/scanner/copier BEFORE connecting to your computer in most cases. Go to HP’s website and get the latest drivers and software for your all-in-one and install it, THEN connect the printer. You can probably find some installation instructions on the HP website for your all-in-one as well.

ok so if u switch to a vista computer it probably wont work. so what u need to do is go to the hp website and search in support/drivers. then go to ur product on the list and download the drivers. if you have anyother ?’s ask me

First thing to try is a different USB cable. Nothing will work until the PC sees the connection to the printer. Hopefully you have one and will not have to purchase it.
