Weird Printer.?

Ok I have this HP Photosmart C5180 All-in-One Printer.
Whenever i print .pdf files it always has a paper jam.
I have no clue why it does this.
But when I print stuff from Microsoft Word or pictures off the internet, it’s prints out fine. There’s no problems.
Is there something wrong with my printer?

The PDF documents could contain complex graphics which causes the printer’s memory to overload. Word documents tend not to have complicated graphics. Scanned photos at high resolution can generate PDF files from 50-100 MB or even more. TIFF is a more efficient format for scanned photos.
