Whats Wrong With This Printer Help?

i have a HP deskjet D1420
the problem is that it only prints if i print pictures but if i want to print a letter it doesnt work it has brand new ink color n black
but why i cant print my papers that uses black ink but if i print pics it works i guess is something with the black ink any ideas???everything is set up it was working before

all the software gets excepted such as itunes and quicktime for the ipod. My printer excepts hp photosmart essentials and hp solution center but does not except the devices.
Something Is Wrong With My Printer/copier/scanner?

Maybe you guys know what the problem is. Whenever I copy, let’s say, a photo, this is how it always look —> http://i814.photobucket.com/albums/zz66/sweetcake24luv/scan0004.jpg
The other side would be all black and the other side is blury. I don’t know why it’s like that. My friend’s pictures always turn out so clear and perfect when she scans. Please help. The same thing happens when I scan pictures and papers on the printer/copier/scanner. If it matters, the type I have I think is a HP Photosmart C4140 All-In-One. Vivera HP inks is what it says on the side. I’ve had this printer for I think 2 years already and I’m just now recognizing it. I Can Print From My Computer, But Not Scan To It - What’s Wrong?

I have a HP Photosmart C4280 All in one Printer Scanner Copier and an iMac. The printer is plugged in and hooked up to the Mac with a USB cable. I am able to print from it with no problem, however, when I try to scan something to the computer, it tells me that there is no USB connected. I have checked all the connections, the manual doesn’t cover this, and I’m at a loss… Anyone know how I can get something scanned to my computer?
What’s Wrong With My Printer?

My printer status indicates that ink levels are full, but why does it print as if there is no ink? The text is very light and the color is even faded. I put the printing quality at “Best” under the options, yet it still prints like this.
I have a HP Photosmart C4380 Series. It is an InkJet printer.
Can someone please tell me how to fix this problem?
