HP Deskjet printer buying guide

The first time it didn’t list Vista as a operating system it can be installed on,then I tried again and it says the following reasons were preventing intalation and listed like 4 diff things,is there some update that it didn’t pick up or something I can do to get it on here?I don’t wanna buy another printer this is so irritating….thanks for any help

I have an hp photosmart C4480 printer for my laptop, and i have the wire that plugs in from the laptop to the printer, and the power adapter box thing that connects to the printer, but there’s another wire that plugs into the box that goes into the wall, and i’m missing it. is there any way i can make my printer work without having it plugged into the wall? or is there somewhere i can buy the cord?

I was given a hp photosmart c3180 printer. This is my first one and besides having difficulty in setting it up I dont know what kind of ink and paper it needs. What kind of ink and paper does it need? How much does each coast and does it last awhile? Is there any website that I can find a manual so i can figure out how to use it? I was not given this stuff.

I have a new Compaq pc, that came with Vista Basic already installed, and an HP deskjet D1420 printer .
On my older Gateway pc a picture of the 2 cartridges would appear as the page was printing, letting me see how much ink was left in the color & black cartridges.
How can I get this picture of the cartridges to display on my new pc, so I can see the level of ink remaining?
