HP Deskjet printer buying guide

I had been doing Tech Support for Hewlett-Packard’s DeskJet division for about a month when I had a customer call with a problem I just couldn’t solve. She could not print yellow. All the other colors would print fine, which truly baffled me because the only true colors are cyan, magenta, and yellow. For instance, green is a combination of cyan and yellow, but green printed fine.
Every color of the rainbow printed fine except for yellow. I had the customer change ink cartridges. I had the customer delete and reinstall the drivers. Nothing worked. I asked my co-workers for help; they offered no new ideas.
After over two hours of troubleshooting, I was about to tell the customer to send the printer in to us for repair when she asked quietly,
“Should I try printing on a piece of white paper instead of this “yellow” construction paper?”

i just bought a new HP Deskjet D1300 series printer and it does everything but print! it runs the paper through but won’t print anything. has a new cartridge in it. What do you think is wrong with it?

I have a HP psc 2400xi photosmart all-in-one printer/scanner/fax/copier. I went to turn it on this morning and it made a grinding noise. It looks like the scanner light is trying to go further than its supposed to and it’s not stopping. I unplugged it a number of times and tried to press the power button but it still is stuck and making a grinding noise. I searched on hp.com to try and find a solution but I couldn’t find anything. Has anyone else had this problem and how can I fix this?

I just installed a HP Photosmart C4200 All in One series to my computer. (Dell “Dimension” 2350) It seems to take forever for something to print from the computer, any ideas why? My previous printer seemed to be faster, however, it was not a printer, scanner, copier. Thank you in advance.
