I have tried resetting the factory defaults. I have unplugged and replugged. There has to be something that will reset my photosmart printer? Thanks for your help.

my printer is making funny sounds, but i realised that its the power cord, i dont think its my whole power box, because my computer is plugged in it and it is perfectly fine. There is a black cable plugged to the back of the printer, connecting to a power box, connecting to another power box, the noise is in the first box. How do i fix that?

I’m using hp deskjet 3550. the printer powers on almost 5hours after the pc had been turned on. already checked the printer availability and its set on “always available”. plugged the cable to different outlet but received the same issue. installed to different PC, but still. I’m now using XP Pro but same thing happened to Windows 2000. the printer becomes available after 5 hours or so! when the printer powers on, i have to restart the pc to make it available, although the pc can detect the printer. help!!
