HP Deskjet printer buying guide

My HP Laptop and HP Printer Deskjet F2179 suddenly decided they ONLY want to print RED when they’re connected. No other colors, no black either. Sometimes only first page comes out normal and the following pages comes out red. Black cartridge is new. However, if I use my Mac iBook with printer HP F2179, everything worked very well. I have changed both cartridge (black & colour), and nothing’s changed. HP Laptop and printer are 8 months old.What to do? Thanks…

I recently picked up a HP DeskJet 720C from my cousin and while text prints in black, any photos or colored text comes out magenta. I went to HP’s website to check for drivers and found that since I have an XP machine, I’m already up-to-date. Also, I’ve already purchased/installed a new color cartridge, ran all the test pages and whatnot and I’m still printing with magenta…any ideas on how to fix this?

Hp Photosmart on an Acer

I recently got a HP Photosmart C6380 Wireless Printer and for some time, I’ve been trying to figure out why the printer would not be able to recognize my router. Finally, I found out that the reason was because I secured my wireless with WPA. So I made it unsecure to test it out and it detected it.
However, I don’t want to leave me wireless unsecure and I don’t want to make it WEP since it’s not very secure. But if I make it WPA, then the printer won’t be able to detect the router. What can I do?
I was reading that maybe I could add the printer’s MAC address into my router network or something like this.
I’m a novice at this so I could use some help. Thanks!
