Just a few weeks ago I got a new computer. With it we baught a Photosmart C4700 Series HP printer. I’ve been trying to install the drivers/hardware for the printer for a few days and everytime I do, it starts to install and then 3/4 of the way through it stops and says “Fatal Error.” What can I do to fix it and get my printer to work?

The page list links to whichever version of Windows you are using. Click on the Windows version of the using. Choose which driver you would like to download (basic or complete, I’d go with complete though.)
Once downloaded, you simply execute/run the driver.

Try reseting the printer. Do the following:
1. Verify that the unit is switched on. Unplug the all-in-one from power and disconnect the connection port.
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Plug in the power only.
4. Repeat steps 2-4 two more times.
5. On the third time after plugging the unit into power, reconnect the connection port from the all-in-one to your computer.
Then reset the printer to the factory settings
1. Unplug the power cable from printer when the printer is powered on.
2. Press and hold # and 6 while plugging in the power cord.
This should reset everything and get you back up and running.
