HP Deskjet printer buying guide

I have a HP Deskjet 3845 and it always used to work, but now whenever I try to print something it says “Out of paper” and I have paper in there. I have no idea what’s wrong.

i use HP photosmart scanner/printer/copier
with my mac book
i had my scanner a little less than a year, so its not old.
ive already tryed calling HP and they just hung up on me, i already uploaded my software a long time ago, and hp.com only helps HP computers, not macs.
oh and i lost my software.
on my scanner it says “USB not connected”
and then on my computer it says “Sorry, scanner could not be initialized (scanner not found)”
what do i do now? how to i fix it?

I already re-installed it, and also updated the driver, and it still isn’t working.
It was working fine a few months back, and now it just blinks, but nothing happens.
My printer’s working fine, and it prints out right away when I need to.
Is there something else I need to do to make the scanner scan again?

why isnt my hp deskjet f4180 printing it just keeps popping up align the ink cartridge and it wont print the paper needed

my hp photosmart c5180 won’t print! i saw that there was one document trying to print, so i deleted it, and it won’t delete! it doesn’t even have an error message on the printer. i have windows vista if that makes a difference
