HP Deskjet printer buying guide

I’m moving into a new apartment and have the following
2 Desktop PC’s with Windows XP
1 Mac Laptop with Mac OS X 10.4.10
Now 2 of these will be hooked to my router and the Laptop will be wireless. I am now buying a HP Photosmart D7360 printer. What is the best way to share my printer?
I don’t know anything about “what a home network is or how to home network”. I know I can somehow hook my printer to my router. What kind of cord do I need to do that? Is it a printer to ethernet cord?
And how do I set up a home network from all of this or find out how to do set one up? Is this safe? My router is a newer Netgear(?). Can’t think of model off the top of my head. Less than a year old. It does have WEP protection I setup. Anything else you need to know?

We have a HP Photosmart C3100 All in One printer that is connected by USB to my PC (the router and modem are also connected to mine). We have 2 other pc’s in the house and we want to share the printer.
I have gone into “Add a Printer” on the 2nd pc I select “connect to a printer on the internet or a home or office network” and it asks me for a printer URL address?!!
Where can I find this on my printer, or is there another easy way to connect, many thanks.

i have some photos that i need to put text on.
is it possible to print text on a photo with a HP Photosmart C5280 All-in-one printer?
The photos have already been printed on.
every time i do it the text ink rubs off.

i’ve just bought an HP photosmart 3 in one printer in a good low price but it seams thet the lower it becomes the more expensive the inks are!:?(
Am now about to sell it for that but don’t know what to buy and how to look for a printer ANYWAY?

i have a laptop and a desktop connected to a home net work the desktop is the one that has the printer connected to it and the laptop is connected wirelessly through a net gear router, i can view the jobs in the print queue on the desktop from the laptop, but the printer is not printing the jobs i have a hp photosmart 7100series printer and both computers are running xp home edition what do i do?
