HP Deskjet printer buying guide

Plug n’ play doesn’t seem to work. Wondering if there is a general driver that would work for my printer on Vista, Thanks

the software that came with my printer does not give me access! do i need other software? i have a hp photosmart d7360. my computer came with windows vista home basic. i went to their site but didn’t get any help!

I have an HP Photosmart C4150 all-in-one printer. I installed the driver [unplugged the printer, and the USB first] when I try to run the software I get an error message that says “HP Photosmart has encountered a problem and needs to close”. Every time. I have tried restarting the computer, and also I know my OS is Windows XP so that shouldn’t be the problem. Any help would be appreciated? Thanks!

I have a HP desktop computer (m8080a) with windows vista home premium installed, and I just recently got a HP Photosmart C5280 All-in-one printer. It works ok, but whenever I turn the printer off then on again, it has to load the drivers all over again as if they were never installed in the first place? It also does the same thing if I turn on the computer while the printer is off, then turn the printer on. I’ve tried the drivers from the installation CD and the drivers from the HP site, but the same thing happens with both. Does anyone know of more reliable drivers for this printer or how to fix this issue?
