Hp Printer And Hp Notebook Don’t Get Along?

lol. i have an HP Pavilion dv2000 (Vista) and i have a HP Photosmart C4200 and when i connect my printer to my notebook i always have to wait because it installs the drivers and i can’t print right away. i had another notebook (XP) and i was able to print right away cuz it was able to detect it right away so i guess it has something to do with Vista (even though the printer says it is CERTIFIED FOR WINDOWS VISTA). my printer works well but after 10 mins cuz i have to wait until it installs all the driver and sometimes it even tells me to insert the CD that came with the printer. is there any way i can fix this, a way in which i can just connect my printer without having to wait long and be able print right away. please help me. thanks
