I have a HP Photosmart C4180.
my sister’s computer is connected to it.
i have the CD, but i cant seem to make it work, probably because of my lack of computing experience.
I have windows vista.
can anybody help?
I recently got a HP Photosmart C6380 Wireless Printer and for some time, I’ve been trying to figure out why the printer would not be able to recognize my router. Finally, I found out that the reason was because I secured my wireless with WPA. So I made it unsecure to test it out and it detected it.
However, I don’t want to leave me wireless unsecure and I don’t want to make it WEP since it’s not very secure. But if I make it WPA, then the printer won’t be able to detect the router. What can I do?
I was reading that maybe I could add the printer’s MAC address into my router network or something like this.
I’m a novice at this so I could use some help. Thanks!
I have an HP dv-5 1125 laptop, and i’m pretty sure it’s blue-tooth capable. i just got a printer, an hp photosmart c5580 and it comes with the HP bt500 bluetooth usb 2.0 wireless adapter. now i’ve tried connecting it but my laptop won’t pick it up, i’ve gone to start then printers then add a printer then to the wireless, bluetooth setup, but it won’t find it, and the adapter is connected to the printer and on and working. so how can i get it to connect with out me having to go buy a usb cable?
I just installed the software and everything was installed successfully. However, the printer model cannot be found in the setup assistant or in my system preferences. How do I set it up? Please help!!!!
I bought this computer second hand, it has a disk withit, but I hae NEVER installed anything in my life, I know where the control panel and everything is and where to look after I install it, but, I have no idea how which wire goes where on the back of my monitor, or tower, or what? I have an hp photosmart 7260 printer. How do I run them all together on my system and make it work. I have the disk in hand, if anyone could PLEASE give me directions, I would really appreciate it. The more step by step detail you can give me, the better chances I have of not getting lost in this mess of wires. (p.s. – I didn’t set up my computer, my nephew did, but it looks like he has it right, it’s pretty much color coordinated…..lol) The printer may be hooked up the wrong way, because, when it’s plugged in, I can’t use “my computer” icon or get into it unless I unplug it first, then plug it back in when I’m ready to print……HELP????
