HP Deskjet printer buying guide

I have a Hewlett Packard PhotoSmart D5069 printer. I need to print my digital artwork out for use in my portfolio. Unfortunately I can’t afford to have my work professionally printed and need to do it all on my home printer. So now I’m trying to figure out which color cartridge would give me the best results possible, the HP #95 color cartridge or the HP #99 Photo cartridge? I can only afford to buy one black cartridge and then either the photo (99) or the color(95.)
So does anyone personally have experience with both of these cartridges and which of the 2 produce the best image quality? If it helps I’m printing artwork that was made entirely in programs like Photoshop and Illustrator. A lot of the work contains a wide range of colors and subtle gradients. I’ll also be using Glossy HP Advanced Photo Paper to print each one. Thanks in advance!

Westell Versalink 327W router
Verizon DSL hooked up to the router
Right now I have the pc connected to the printer. I tried connecting both computers to the printer but that didn’t work. I’d like to be able to print from either computer. The computers are next to each other so I’d like to do everything with wires. Right now I have both computers connected to the router, so I am getting internet on both, no problem.. just need to get from my mac to the printer. Is this possible? Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you!

I need to justify a purchase. We are inclined to choosing 3940 but cannot make a quantitative comparison. Need the printer for an office of around 5. Need fast, good quality prints for office documents. Color prints not very frequent. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! =)
