We have a new printer, it’s a HP Photosmart C4280 all-in-one and everytime I turn it on, it wants to print an alignment page………..there are no settings that control this and the only thing I can do is to cancel it everytime which is annoying. Anyone know why this is happening or how I can correct this? I can’t leave my printer on all day, my parents won’t allow it.
I have replaced the empty black cartridge with a new one and printed the alignment page, but when I scan it, the printer states that the page was unable to be detected. Should the page that is to be detected have color on it? All the page shows is different shades of black, but it look like the right page.
Trial and error and adjusting margins.
Even machines with built in 2-sided options usually have a tolerance of about 2mm, so it’s worth including a decent border around any design to allow for this.
