I just bought this new HP Photosmart C4240 All-in-one: Printer, Scanner, and Copier. It hooked up right, but today I tried to scan a picture of my niece, and it said the USB cable was not connected. I checked and the cable is still connected, so why is it saying that it is disconnected. I would really like to scan some pictures, so that I can put them on MySpace. Thank You for your help.

That would depend on the colour usage your pics require. Most home printers deliver anywhere from 30 to 50 4X6 prints; however if your pictures require a lot of one of the colours from a colour cartradge, think of taking a lot of pictures of a wedding party where the entire party is wearing yellow – you may find that the yellow cartrage runs out long before the other colours and then your printer will cease operation until it gets more yellow.
And the resolution you choose to print matters; the higher the resolution the more ink your printer needs to use, therefore the more ink used per print the lower the quantity of prints you will get.
The above rules apply to all printers.
I busted my printer and my mom got really upset. I would like to now what is the price of repair so that I can probably do something. I don’t really need the exact price but somewhat of an average price. Would it be cheaper to buy a new printer?
There are a few reports about paper feed problems in various forums. Are they just isolate cases or it is a serious problem? One says the paper feed problem can be overcome by cleaning the paper sensor. Any comments?
