Problem With My Printer/scanner…?
Filed in Deskjet Help Forums on ม.ค..03, 2010
It keeps claiming that the USB is not connected when both wires connected to the computer are perfectly in their sockets. What could be causing this? It worked for the longest time and all of a sudden… bam!
I really need the scanner today more than any other day. I need to scan pictures into my computer to make a video for History.
HP Photosmart C4280 All-in-one [printer . copier . scanner.. photoshop express... ect.]
._. 10 points, I swear, if you can tell me good advice to fix this right away.

Hi Niyon
First, uninstall all the software. Now open the printer/scanner and disconnect the USB. Now install the software and it will ask you to connect the USB, do it. Let it continue to install.
REboot. Windows will find the scanner/printer. It should work now. If it doesn’t, connect to another usb port.

insert your install cd into your dvd/cd drive and when the install screen comes up just exit it out,go to my computer and then right click the letter that corresponds to your cd/dvd drive and then choose explore, then when the screen with all the folders comes up find a folder named setup, double click that to open that folder and then look for a folder named usb, double click that to open it and then double click the msi file to install the files for the usb for the printer and see if that helps. If not could be a setting in your bios and the usb got disabled on your computer and you need to go into your bios to re enable it.Then if none of those helps you can uninstall the printer and reinstall it again and see if that works if not.i would say that the usb slot got turned off somehow or the software for the usb port got corrupted or deleted for the printer.need more help email me.

you may need to download and install the latest printer software/driver for your computer’s operating system at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softw…
