Printer Takes A Long To Respond?

I have an HP Officejet 6500 Wireless printer. It is not running wirelessly, and is hooked via USB into my computer (MacBook Pro). For some reason, whenever I print something, it seems as if it receives the print command, but the print job just sits in my queue for 5-10 mins before it prints normally. Any ideas why this is?

I’m sorry that I can’t really help you, but I have that same printer and when it’s wireless it doesn’t print AT ALL!
I think it’s probably slow because it tries to receive it through internet because it’s not supposed to have a USB, or maybe you just have slow internet connection.
