Printer Problems?

I just installed a HP Photosmart C4200 All in One series to my computer. (Dell “Dimension” 2350) It seems to take forever for something to print from the computer, any ideas why? My previous printer seemed to be faster, however, it was not a printer, scanner, copier. Thank you in advance.

Are you still using a parallel port?
If the printer and PC have usb connections, then a USB cable should be quicker.

This printer probably has a higher resoloution .(DPI Count)

Maybe you have to check the quality at which you print. Most printers have settings for this. You probibly have it set on the best quality which will slow it down which should only be used if doing pictures or something.
