Printer Only Prints Red Induced Images?
Filed in Deskjet Help Forums on พ.ย..22, 2009
My HP Photosmart C6100 Series Printer has recently only printing photos that are covered with red ink. It is like the cartridges are not getting to the right parts of the photos. I was low on yellow ink so I replaced that, and it still looks the same. Please Help!

Sounds like you need to clean your printheads. If one of your printheads are clogged, the color is not getting through, therefore your colors are going to be wrong. Print a test page/nozzle check, to verify if this is the problem. If it is, you may need to perform several head cleanings before it clears up.

If you are out of ink on any of the three colors in the printer, it’s going to not print that color, so check your “red” cart.
When you replaced the yellow cart…did you remember to remove the tape that covers the ink jet holes and the electrical connections?
It’s always possible that the new cart you put in was defective, I found that out with an old HP printer I had several years ago…Office Max was happy to replace it though. Carts that have been sitting around for a time will “go bad”, check the manufacturing date first.
