Photo Ink And Regular Color Ink?

I have an all in one hp photosmart 2600 printer and I have been using the regular color ink to print my photos. They turn out pretty decent, but I want to know if I use the photo ink instead will my photos turn out better. Also can you really tell the difference between the different inks?

The photo ink doesn’t take the spot of the colored ink, it takes the spot of the black ink. Sometimes when you print pictures, the black ink makes pictures wayyyy too dark, the photo ink is just a lighter black to stop that, but you keep the same colored ink in there.

Yes it will turn out better… And also if you use photopaper… And yeah… You can tell the difference… Regular ink looks good… But doesn’t have the depth and detail of color that photo ink does…

If your printer does not call for Photo ink, you will not notice any difference.
The high end printers that have Photo ink, usually have regular ink as well. Cyan and Photo Cyan for example, and maybe 2 types of grey. Photo ink is for printers that call for them.
