My Printer Wont Leave The “cartidge Missing” Screen?

OK SO I HAVE A HP PHOTOSMART C4180 ALL-IN-ONE PRINTER AND THE OTHER DAY I RAN OUT OF COLOR INK. SO I DONT REALLY NEED SO I DONT BOTHER BUYING IT. EVERYTHIME I TURN THE PRINTER ON THE SAME SCREEN KEEPS ON COMING ON “COLOR CARTIDGE MISSING” CAN SOME ON TELL ME WAHT I NEED TO DO SO I WONT HAVE THAT CAUSE IM OK WITH JUST BLACK INK.. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ALL YOUR HELP

Nuthin you CAN do unless you have some hacking skills. Thats HPs way of forcing you into buying ink. The cartridges have chips in them.

The printer is set up to inform you if ANY cartridge runs out -
This will happen in black or color – It wants you to put one in even if you don’t use it -
Look in the information section of the printers program and see if you can disable the notice –
Some you can, some you can’t – This is where you will find the specific information for your printer -
It should have a “search” section in the file where you type in “disable cartridge notification” -
