My Printer Is Offline?

I have a laptop that uses an HP Photosmart 8400 series to print stuff.
Everyone else who uses the printer in my house hasn’t had any problem with it.
But when I try to print something it says the printer is off line?
How do I fix this

go to the printers and faxes button on the bottom right hand of the screen. Double click on the printer. Go to printer and see if offline is checked. If it is, uncheck it and see if it works
