i have a mac laptop, and i just bought a hp photosmart c5280 all-in-one printer, installed the drivers from te cd and all of them from the website, they all only let me install drivers for the C5200 which is pretty close to my printer as far as model number When i got to print stuff, th efirst page is wierd sybols and a couple words about adobe and and stuff and it prints it in a line but a desending line. I need help, is my rinter jsut wack and need a new one? or is macs just suck at printers.??

First the driver is correct for that series of printers C5200 series. Second reset the printer back to factory defaults.
1. unplug the power completely from AC
2. Wait 30 to 60 seconds
3. Plugin back the power
4. Press and hold the POWER AND FORM FEED at the sametime.
Until the printer starts up and it should print a test page for you. If all looks good then you’re okay? If not then un-install the drivers and software from your MAC. Then unplug the USB and turn off the printer. Reboot the MAC
Now install the printer drivers again
Following the onscreen displays and wait for the software to tell you when to connect the printer to your MAC and also when to turn in back on.
From this point you should be okay, if not then call up HP tech support to help you trouble shoot and see if the printer needs servicing.

The printer driver may be corrupted, reinstall it

That will happen if you accidentally print an executable file, or anything that isn’t either text or a photo.
