My Computer Will Not Except Any Device Whats Wrong? Running Windows Xp.?

all the software gets excepted such as itunes and quicktime for the ipod. My printer excepts hp photosmart essentials and hp solution center but does not except the devices.

What device are you trying to add that it will not accept? A PDA or a phone or what? Most of these type devices come with a CD if they will sync with your computer. Install the software for the device first then add the hardware.

well if the devices are USB or USB 2.0 then it might be the drivers for your USB ports. you can check this by… here are the steps on how to check and see if its a problem with ur port.
go to start
right click on my computer
go to manage
go to device manager under system tools
if there are any yellow question marks then just read what subtitle its under and then just download the drivers for your computer or if you still have ur install cd’s then u can just run those
