Lost Wire That Connects The Power Adapter Into The Wall?
by admin on ก.พ..14, 2010, under Deskjet Help Forums
I have an hp photosmart C4480 printer for my laptop, and i have the wire that plugs in from the laptop to the printer, and the power adapter box thing that connects to the printer, but there’s another wire that plugs into the box that goes into the wall, and i’m missing it. is there any way i can make my printer work without having it plugged into the wall? or is there somewhere i can buy the cord?
thanks.

well the cord from the printer is most likely a usb cord that has a type A usb plug on one end and a type B usb plug on the other end. These are commanly found in many electronic store and are easy to find.
However for the power adapter that is a different story, that will need to ordered from the website.

Most printers use a standard usb cable to connect to the computer you may even have one laying around one end is almost square with a slightly angled top and the other is a slim rectangle. As far as the other cord they tend to be the same as the one that plugs into your computers main power if this is the case and old computer power cord will work. IF not you can pick up a direct plug in power adapter on ebay for about $20 good luck.

HP does not list a replacement part.

It probably just uses a standard power cable, just like the one used to plug your PC into the wall. You can pick those up pretty much anywhere (wal-mart) for a few bucks.

I’ve seen those pieces at the stores there Universal as long as you have the box to printer connection.Goodluck
