fancied hp photosmart c6380 by looking at test freaks, but the ink cartridges put me off. how many do you have to buy for it to work? my grandad just wants it for printing, and photocopying thats it really. looks like nice printer though, anyone know 1) any good printer review sites and 2) any alternatives to this printer, around the same price?
Thanks

Go for Hp if you want a quality product. You will soon realize that what you bought is truly worth it. It is user friendly and hassle free.

I have this printer, and i love it. It comes with 4 cartridges: blue, red, yellow, black, and photo black. The cartridges also come in regular sizes and in XL, which will give you more ink. Also, the cartridges at Office Max are only $10 for the regular size and $15 for the XL, which is cheap in comparison to some other cartridges. I’d recommend this printer.

No, the photosmart C series are REALLY bad, the ink is not water-proof like the ads say and they are really expensive, get an Epson or Canon or even lexmark printer for basic needs.

HP may be expensive but they’re really easy to load with paper unlike Epson and Canon. This may be a consideration for your grandad depending on how old he is and whether he has trouble with his eyes or hands. Check out the prices at PC World or dabs.com
