I am buying a used HP Photosmart 8050 printer and it’s only 1yr old, but I the person don’t have the install cd. He give me a link to download the information. Do you think that is possible. I haven’t buy it yet, but he had sent me the website.
Thank you,

Yes, plug it in, and Windows will very often be able to run it for you. You may need your Windows Disks handy for the install. Sometimes if it’s a common printer Windows will just recognize it for you, and have the drivers. If that doesn’t work them yes, all Printers Manufacturers that I know of have drivers available on-line for you to download. Your computer will tell you if you need the drivers, then go to that companies site and download. I only do this after I try Windows to recognize it first.
I always power up a printer, especially if it’s used to make sure it’s running, and there are no error messages on the self test, before I plug it into my machine. This also saves having to download the printer drivers if the printer is already damaged.
Your HP will have the drivers on-line.
