Individual, Color-by-color Ink Cartridges - Good Or Bad Idea?
by admin on ม.ค..06, 2010, under Deskjet Help Forums
I just purchased an HP Photosmart C7250 All-in-One Printer that has the individual ink cartridges as opposed to 1 B&W and 1 color.
By all accounts it sounds like a great printer. I just haven’t opened the box yet ..
I got a good deal on it at Costco the day after Thanksgiving - $209 after rebate.

Having individual color cartridges sure is a great idea, because it can give sharper prints especially when dealing with photos of greatvalue to you. but personally, I’d be sticking with the original two.

It is a good idea, because when you run out of a single color, you don’t have to replace ALL three colors in a traditional CMY color cartridge and potentially throw away unused ink.
You will save money in the long run by not throwing away unused ink when replacing other colors.

Excellent idea.
1)
Reduces cost in the long run. You only have to replace the color as it runs out, verses the whole cart for multiple colors if that one runs out.
2)
In most cases you get a more fine ink droplet which translates to higher resolution.
Good luck!
