go to hp’s website and see if they have a vista compatible driver for your printer. It should be there

YOU WILL HAVE TO CHECK MICROSOFT.COM FOR A PATCH. OR CHECK HP. YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE A LITTLE RESEARCH BEFORE YOU WENT WITH VISTA.EVERY IT TECH I KNOW SAYS DON’T USE VISTA.
IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH VISTA. AND THERE ISNT
ENOUGH UPGRADES AND PATCHES FOR IT YET.

HP website type in ur brand name and model number click on drivers find your model and vista download

That’s one of Vista’s worst problems! (I have Vista)
I spent 3 days configuring my Lexmark x1270 Series printer.
You have to log on to the HP website and search for the Vista driver corresponding to your model.
(Install the drivers with your OS’s language, otherwise it won’t work)

Your printer isn’t compatable with Vista.
the best thing you can do is contact HP and see if there driver update for vista
