I quote from the HP page for your printer…
“There is no need to download anything”
Just plug it in, turn on, go under printers and select add printer, follow the wizard, and you’re set.

If you go to start then settings and then printers, there you will see the list of printer queues installed on the PC, if you go to add printer and click next then select local printer annd select LPT1 port, this will pick up you usb cable, then proceed further it will then ask you for the driver so if you insert the CD from the printer and select the ‘Have Disk’ under the list of driver this will bring up a new window with a browsing option, click browse and select the drive with the CD and look for a file called AUTORUN and select this, now you will be back at the drivers section with a list of few compatible drivers for you printer, select as appropriate,
If you have not got the CD then try http://www.printcountry.com/drivers/HP_D…
You have now installed your printer the time saving way.
    Hope this helps :)
