I want to print from my laptop but I don’t have the port to plug the printer in. I have a Linksys router but it does not have the port either. How would I make a connection from my laptop to the printer on my desktop. (Please be specific)

According to the product specifications for this printer:http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/docum…
it has both parallel and USB compatible interfaces built-in. All you really need then is a good USB cable to connect it to your laptop. Otherwise you can get an adapter USB to parallel cable, but the straight USB cable would be better.
Best of luck.

purchase a USB to Parallel adapter cable (USB on computer end, LPT1 type on printer end)
install it’s software, and printer software, plug in and print
OR
Buy a more modern printer that can a USB port, check printer it MIGHT have one
