“hpio Trap Monitor Quit Unexpectedly” On Macbook.?

Whenever I try to download my new HP Photosmart C4200 All-in-One printer once it is finished downloading I get this message, “The application HPIO Trap Monitor quit unexpectedly.” I am given the options of Ignoring, reporting, or relauching, I have try all and nothing fixes the problem. I am able to print and copy but not able to scan, the HP printer says the USB is not connected (and it is) and my Macbook says scanner not found. I have even tryed deleting the HPIO Trap Monitor. When I click on the HP Photosmart Studio option that also quits after a few seconds “HPIO Trap Monitor quit unexpectedly.”

On a macbook it is giving that error? I know this goes against the norm BUT try turning the Mac off/on with everything unplugged and then try reinstalling after it powers back up.
