Hp Photosmart D5160 Connection (from Enigma)?

Enigma,
I’ve used different USB ports but still having the same problem with booting up the sysem with printer connected.. You suggested getting a new USB cable. Why would I need a new one if it works after I plug the cable in after I have booted up the system.
Also do you think the printer I installed could be too sophisicated for my computer to make the connection? They are both HP’s.

sounds like a driver issue.
try just turning the printer off when you boot your computer.
then turn it on when you need it.
windows is full of little bugs like this.
