Hp Deskjet F4240 Ink Cartridge Problem?

I just changed the black ink in my printer and when I tried the print the test sheet, it said there was a ‘cartridge problem’ with the color ink cartridge. The color ink is over half full, and I tried taking it out and putting it back in and unplugging the printer. What should I do?

the black and color cartridges are so close together you may have inadvertantly popped open the color cartridge holder. I know they are in a difficult to get at…!

Start–>control panel–>printers and faxes–>right click your printer–>preference–> tools–> alignment–>and then run head cleaning, then run page test
