How To Solve The ” Error Message 1158″ Problem When Downloading And Installing An Hp Deskjet Printer Driver?

i have an hp deskjet printer 3550 and i’m trying to download it’s driver from hp.com but the installation process stops at an error message 1158 what can i do ?

I have had personal experience with HP support – which was very good.
First, write down your model number, serial number, anything you have to identify yourself as a valid user, then

Make sure the printer isn’t connected or at least turn it off try again when prompted either turn it on or hook it up.
