How To Fix The Vertical Black Line For The Hp C4280?
Filed in Deskjet Help Forums on ม.ค..27, 2010
I have an HP c4280 Printer all-in one Photosmart. Lately, every time I try to scan or make copies with my printer it always scan or print a vertical black line bar in the middle of the paper. I called the HP tech support three time, but they were not a big help. Also, I checked this link http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/docum…
The screen is not broken, and before I didn’t have this issues. Does anyone know a trick, or how to solve this issues beside buying a new one?

I’m not familiar with your machine but nobody else has suggested anything. If you print out a Help page or something from the computer does it still have a line? If not and it’s only from scanning it’s from the scanner/read side. The scanner has a bunch of little read things, they can go bad and cause lines. The price of a new one is probably close to the price of a new printer. An alternative is to keep it and buy a good scanner and use the bad one for printing etc. If you are really bored you can slowly take it apart and re -seat all the scanner connections, it won’t help but it will give you a feeling of “I tried my best”
