First, download and install the driver here (select your OS first): http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softw…
Then, connect your printer to your computer when the software asks you too.

check mark the “download drivers and software circle, enter your printer model number and get to where it asks for the operating system and go from there. I found your HP Photosmart 7260 printer listed there, but you didn’t say what operating system you have installed so I couldn’t pursue the driver. Go there, you’ll find it.
