How Do I Stop My Hp Photosmart C3100 From Constantly Reinstalling Its Drivers?

Quite often, whenever I will turn my printer on it seems to remove the drivers and reinstall the drivers for the printer. This gets very frustrating when you quickly have to print off a document. Is there anyway to stop this? I have Windows Vista Home Premium. (and I know that the printer is supposedly unsupported though it can print and the drivers can be handled)

try this
Uninstall all printer s/ware and disconnect the printer.
Now reinstall the s/ware / drivers and when told connect the printer.
