How Can I Get My Scanner To Work?

We just recently bought an all-in-one printer, HP Officejet 6500. [i can't find my users guide..so i found it online!] However, I can’t get the scanner to work. It says “no scan options”. I went to the troubleshooting section of the help manual online and I did everything it told me to do, which was uninstall and reinstall the printer bc it must have been installed incorrectly. All I did was stick the CD in and followed directions, but my scanner still is saying “no scan options”..anyone have any help they can offer? PLEASE!!!

To scan an image with Vista…Go to Start…All Programs….Windows photo Gallery….select the File Tab and select Import from Camera or Scanner. It’s a bit slow starting…but it will scan for you.
