Help With Hp Printer - Won’t Print.?

HP Deskjet F300 all in 1 series.
In the control panel it says this is the default printer and is ready and has a green tick. but it just won’t print. if i turn computer off then on again then it will print whatever is in the print queue but nothing else.
I am running Vista. I have tried Windows help & support and HP troubleshooting too.
I have attempted to reinstall the printer.
Please help!!

The f300 is a touchy one. I have had to install a f340 twice and a hp1210xi twice both similar models. What I would do is UNPLUG usb and power cord before installing then when asked while installing driver plug both in again. Be sure you UNINSTALL all of the current drivers so you can start fresh. Dont forget to reboot. installing printers is not always a simple thing you have to go to a procedure sometimes! I think there is no driver for vista though that could be your problem go to the hp website and find out if not you are out of luck
