Help!!! Please; New Printer Problems?

i just bought a new HP Deskjet D1300 series printer and it does everything but print! it runs the paper through but won’t print anything. has a new cartridge in it. What do you think is wrong with it?

delete the printer from control panel – printers – try reinstalling the drivers from supplied disk. ensure all cables are fitted properly, are the print carts fitted properly?

Could the ink cartridge be old and clogged? Does the printer have an option to clean the print cartridge? I would try that. Good Luck!

Make sure the cartridges are not covered with the transport plastic film, if so remove them
