This printer does have Vista support. But the software that came packaged with the printer is probably not. If you attempted to install from CD, that might be the problem. You need to uninstall any printing software and then reset your computer. Next go to http://www.hp.com and select the vista driver. I recommend using only the driver and not all the software if you have had issues. Install and then test.
Another option is to use the HP universal print driver. It can be downloaded from HP.com if needed.
If all that fails, you can contact hp support, but your printer had a one year warranty and they will charge if you have owned that longer. But if it is new, just call.
Now for a trick. If you get someone who does not seem to really understand what you are saying or isn’t very responsive in finding answers, you can get an American tech support by saying you don’t understand and can you get someone who speaks better English. They are required to transfer you. The good news, is that the American tech is not just a first level support, he/she is usually a much more technical savvy person.
