hey guys.. i started burning a lot of dvds and games
but i wanted to label them (instead of sharpie)…
ive heard lightscribe is pretty bad with color and it looks so bland..
but ive also heard the dvd printing is amazing.. like the quality is really good..
currently, i have a Hp Photosmart C4580. Do I really need to buy a new epson printer just for dvd printing?? or is there some cartridge i can add to my Hp Photosmart thatll allow me to print dvds/cds??

Lightscribe is not there yet as far as good prints LOL. You can check out the Z21http://www.summationtechnology.com/z1.ht…
Good deals out there.
You can also check thermal printinghttp://www.supermediastore.com/supermedi…
Before going through all that, look on e-bay
Secondly, check out the blank printable CD/DVD. Go to this link. I buy from them but have a high-end CD/DVD printer for my recording studio to print DEMOS.
This company has the correct CD/DVD for any type of printers with excellent profesional results. I’m not sure if that works for you but these ar ethe correct blanks to use with whatever printer.http://www.cddimensions.com/White-Inkjet…
One last advice, I would get the Canon Ip4300 which is way better than Epson R-200 . I tried both before chaning to Primera. I needed volume printing fast so I had to go to Primera ut I still use the Canon although I am not a Canon fan. LOL. But, the CD printer prints beautifully.

your options are to buy a DVD printer (and Epson is your best bet) or to buy one of those labeling kits which let you print dvd labels and stick them on to DVDs. My experience with DVD labeling is that they’re a bit of a pain to use, the labels are expensive and sometimes after you stick the label on the DVD stops working properly.
The reason I recommend Epson is because they have the best warranty in the industry. For a year, Epson will fedex a replacement and pick up the old one should you need it.
You can get cartridges for Epsons from http://www.ccs-digital.com for under $3 each which hold about double the ink of standard cartridges. I’ve been using them for years.
