Do Hp Lexmark And Hp Photosmart Work With Vista?

I have an old HP photosmart and an 18 month old HP Lexmark. I don’t know whether they will work with Vista or can they be converted to work with Vista or do I have to go out and buy a printer that is compatible with Vista?

1. It is best to know which HP Photosmart you have (model #) and which HP Laserjet (I’m guessing because Lexmark and HP are two different companies).
2. More than like the 18 month old printer will have Vista Drivers, either on the manufacturer’s website or as part of Vista.

This is what i have been wondering myself!
I have a HP All in One Photosmart C4180 Printer that i use with my XP PC and i want to buy a new Vista PC but i’m worried that it wont work.
When i got my Printer,the Vista Software wasn’t finished yet,so i didn’t have it in my package.
You’re Printer is more than likely to be compatible with Vista(depending on what Printer you have got) as mine is.
You and i would have to download the Drivers from the HP website and install them.
There won’t be any need to buy another Printer,…well i hope NOT! ;(

I don’t know about HP lexmark but I know for sure HP photosmart works with Vista. When I got my HP about a year ago w/vista, my HP printer had the drivers built into the OS (it was an HP machine) and photosmart was preloaded. so the answer is yes.

If you e-mail Hp technical dept explain the situation, they can be very helpful, and will send you the links to solve any problems. I know, I“ve just done it. Not sure about Lexmark, but i suspect they would do the same

All you have to do is go to the web sites and download the Vista driver for both your printers. Both web sites have Vista drivers for mostly all printers.

They both with be compatible, companies have been very good abou publishing Vista drivers for their printers.
go to http://www.hp.com and type in your model number. You will find the vista driver listed there.

Your printers should work ok but you may have to get upgraded drivers from the relevent web sites
