Okay, I bought this new printer a few weeks ago. It’s a all-in-one hp officejet 6500. I installed it, and apparently threw away my manual with my box, or misplaced it. However, I looked up the manual online and it was absolutely NO help what-so-ever! I am trying to scan some old pictures onto my computer [[ WHOLE POINT OF BUYING THIS PRINTER TO BEGIN WITH ]] however, when i hit scan or start scan it makes a noise and says “NO SCAN OPTIONS , PRESS OK. ” Well in the trouble shooting section of the manual it states, if it says that then you didn’t install your printer right. So, I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it! It prints and copies..just won’t scan. I went to scanners and printers, and the scanner is on there. I even ran a diagnostic test and it said it was successfull! I’m so close to chunking this thing out my window it is ridiculous..i have fought with it for over a week! Does anyone have any suggestions or know anything about this specific printer..or if there is a step I am missing maybe?!?!?! I would greatly appreciate it..and you would help keep me sane. haha.

We just recently bought an all-in-one printer, HP Officejet 6500. [i can't find my users guide..so i found it online!] However, I can’t get the scanner to work. It says “no scan options”. I went to the troubleshooting section of the help manual online and I did everything it told me to do, which was uninstall and reinstall the printer bc it must have been installed incorrectly. All I did was stick the CD in and followed directions, but my scanner still is saying “no scan options”..anyone have any help they can offer? PLEASE!!!

I’m looking for a new wireless multifunctional printer that can be used for both documents and ‘good quality’ pictures for sketchbook purposes, as well as photocopying. I’ve created a shortlist but can’t find any comparison websites to help…

I have an HP officejet 6500 wireless printer. I hate it. Whenever I click print, it says spooling, and then error printing, or nothing at all. It will not print anything. Except when I sent a test page, it print those with ease. Just not documents. Anyway I have about 10+ photos I need to print for a school project by Monday. Any and all help is necessary! I miss my old printer!!
