Can I Safely Use A Power Adaptor Marked 110 – 240 V In A Printer That Requires A 100 – 240 V Adapter?
Filed in Deskjet Help Forums on พ.ย..07, 2009
I bought a HP photosmart 335 printer but it didn’t come with a power cord & adapter. The manual states it is a 100 – 240 V AC (+- 10%) 50/60 Hz (+- 3 Hz) adapter. The power supply model number is #0957-2120. I have a power cord and adapter from another device (Camcorder) which is 110 – 240 V. Can I use this one safely ????

No you can’t yet.
Even if the input mains rating is the same the important thing is what is the output voltage? and the polarity of the output plug?read the label on the power supply adapter carefully before you use it.

very unusual to have a printer without a power cable supplied as standard.
if the power supply unit you have has the same output as required then give it a try,
if the printer shows any sign of over heating or any other symptoms then pull the plug. but I think you should be ok with this.
